Briefing Paper Instruction
Review one article on one topics before they are discussed in a lesson. Reviews should take the form of briefing papers in which the major theme or topic is identified, the authors’ method of inquiry and approach is briefly summarized, their findings and conclusions are noted, and a personal assessment is provided on the quality of the arguments and significance of the conclusions. Each briefing paper is worth 25% toward the final grade and must be 3 single-spaced pages in length. Examples of effective briefing papers will be provided to help you understand this type of writing. Briefing reports are the most common professional writing assignments.
