LEADERSHIP ILLUSTRATED BY SHORT STORIES AND FABLES

PURPOSE

The purpose of a personal observation report is to read and learn about different short stories and/or fables that can be used to provide

illustrations for leadership principles and morals. An important part of leadership includes communication. Sometimes, effective leaders

are able to make a certain point or teach a lesson by describing a short story that illustrates that point or meaning.

LEADERSHIP QUESTIONS

Think for a moment about leadership and all that it encompasses.

1. What is your reaction to this fable or short story that teaches us about an aspect of leadership?

2. Do you think these short stories and fables illustrate salient examples of leading?

3. After reading this short story or fable, can you apply it to an incident in your work experience or life?

This paper should be written with the following sections:

In this section, describe the lesson or principle (leadership or moral) being conveyed by this short story.

In this section, describe a situation in your work experience or life where you can use this short story to teach or illustrate the point

of the lesson.
