Discuss the issue of birthright citizenship in the US and in the Dominican Republic in relation to Eric Hass’s conservative, progressive and neoliberal frameworks.

Include your thoughts on the following questions:

1) How do conservatives frame these issues? How do progressives frame these issues? How do Neoliberals frame these issues? What solutions does each group arrive at in the DR and in the USA, based on the ways they frame the issue in their respective societies?

2) What legal, social, cultural and racial similarities do you see in the way the issue of birthright citizenship is playing out in the Dominican Republic and in the United States?

3) What legal, social cultural and racial differences do you see between the two societies?
