For the case of Grimshaw v. Ford Motor Company, how did invisible hand fail here? Weren’t there consequences to Ford for their poor, profit driven decision?
Didn’t government hand fail though? Even with regulations about how cars had to be made, it still did not stop this problem form occurring.
Since these did not work, is there some other device, institution, or resource that can help create an incentive for businesses to act appropriately and not choose profit over safety?
