1.What are allusions, and why are they more likely to emerge in films of the film school generation more than in older films?

3.Explore the work of an individual filmmaker in detail by closely analyzing a sequence from his or her work. In what ways does the filmmaker use the techniques of classical Hollywood style? Does the filmmaker violate those principles in any way?

4.In the last decade, the word “postmodernism” has achieved unusually wide usage to describe various elements of contemporary culture. Research postmodernism; explain what it means, and why it is important. Find several definitions. See what cultural critics have to say about it. Cite examples of postmodernism in other art forms. Summarize how you think this relates to the future of film as an art form.
