A cantilever beam is actuated by a force. When the beam is exposed to a particular environment, a material is deposited uniformly along the beam. The natural frequency of the beam after deposition is increased by 1% of the initial natural frequency. Assuming that the flexural rigidity of the beam remains unchanged, determine the mass of the deposited material as a fraction of the initial mass of the cantilever beam.
