Introduction

Please speak about Long-term care facilities and Memory care facilities. Explain the difference between the two and explain how Memory care is more appropriate for patients with dementia/Alzheimer

EMR/EHR systems

Our EMR system is called Matrix. It is important to communicate between all departments, nursing, social services, the physician etc. It is also where we send in orders to the pharmacy and care plan all behaviors and needs of each resident.

 

Paragraph 2:

Appointment scheduling

In long/Term Care or Memory facilities skilled facility there is usually a facility physician but if resident need to see specialist, be admitted to the hospital, go to dialysis or have labs and testing done they are transported out of the facility.

Billing

In most memory care facilities, the cost is typically out of pocket. However, some facilities take Medicaid. Medicaid is usually approved and is the typical Long-term care facility insurance used in facilities.
