BACKGROUND
On June 21, 2018, the US Supreme Court upended the rules for collecting sales taxes from online sellers in the case of South Dakota v. Wayfair. The Court’s opinion is attached.
INSTRUCTIONS
After reading the South Dakota v. Wayfair case, write a Memorandum to your client, Everything Online, which, as its name suggests, sells “everything”, advising your client of the law for collecting sales taxes from online sales.
You can use other sources which you find using the Internet. You must properly cite (APA Format) your sources.
Your Assignment must be in Memo format, addressed to me, and should be 3 to 5 pages (excluding cover page, references or exhibits) in length (single-spaced, 12 pt Arial or Times New Roman font).
Submit your Memo in a Word or PDF file.
Do not assume any knowledge by your client. It should be written for a person without prior knowledge of the law.
