SPLIT SCREEN #3 INSTRUCTIONS

 

Now that you have completed the chapter on culture, let’s put what you have learned to the test.

As you should have noted from the text a cultural universal is an element, pattern, trait, or institution that is common to all human cultures worldwide.

PART 1:

Create a commentary in the form of a PowerPoint split-screen.  Choose two different cultures exhibiting the same activity (cultural universal).

You will only produce one slide.  You may use still images, but not video.  Be sure to use only appropriate images (i.e., those that can be shown to general audiences). Each side of your slide will have a clear depiction of the chosen activity.

PART 2:

In addition to the slide, write a one-paragraph (minimum) narrativein which you compare/contrast the depicted activity between the two cultures.The narrative should be a double-spaced, thoughtfully written, grammatically correct Word document.

Minimum – one paragraph

Maximum – one page
