Make sure you EXPLAIN in your own words any cognitive principles you talk about- pretend you are writing the paper for someone who doesn’t know cognitive psychology.

use the five “C’s” of writing a literature review:

1 Compare the various arguments, theories, methodologies, and findings expressed in the literature: what do the authors agree on? Who uses the same  approaches in  analyzing the research problem?

2 Contrast the various arguments, themes, methodologies, approaches, and controversies expressed in the literature: what are the major areas of disagreement, controversy, or debate?

3 Critique the literature: Which arguments are more persuasive, and why? Which approaches, methodologies,  findings, are most reliable, or appropriate, and why?

4 Connect the literature to your own area of research and investigation: how does your own work draw upon, depart from, synthesize, or add a new perspective to what has been said in the literature?

5 Possible list of topics: Please make sure you select a cognitive topic.
