Moliere’s Tartuffe

It can be argued that Moliere’s Tartuffe is not an anti-religious play, but an anti-hypocrisy play. Specifically discuss the religious elements of the play that are being satirized and what other aspects of Neo-Classical life Moliere is satirizing. Also, discuss how these elements are relevant to today’s world and why. Would you also agree that an important part of the two writers we have read can be called “Social Critics?” Explain why this may be true.
