Communications Essay

Address James Carey’s model of transmission and ritual and how it applies to the study of communication. Cite at least one example from your own personal experience where transmission and ritual played a role and make the argument (and support it) why either transmission or ritual was more important in that particular situation.

Guidelines

  • 12-point font, double-spaced, one-inch margins
  • Follow the standard five-paragraph format (introduction that includes a thesis statement, three supporting points, conclusion that restates points and show that the thesis has been supported)
  • Name and word count in the header
  • A minimum of 500 words and a maximum of 600 words
