Case Study to extend the dialog Overall Rating

Whew this was tough read! While I completely understand client-attorney privilege, as a mother to girls I can’t imagine someone knowing what happened to my child and choosing instead to protect a murderer! There has to be a way to give people peace when they are going through such a tumultuous time.

I would have been less upset if they dropped an anonymous letter in the mail and led the families to their loved ones. IF you’re going to lose your practice, at least it should be for a noble reason and not because you’re a disgusting human being. I believe it’s unethical to hold onto information like that because the ones that need protecting are the victims not the despicable person who needlessly took their lives.

I didn’t watch the video because anything he said would’ve still made no sense to me, but I did read up on the case outside of the book and I truly believe he is a terrible person to have held such evidence from the families. Both of them deserved everything they got and everything they lost.

Watch the video Daughter of Man Accused of Killing Her Mother Doesn’t Want Plea Deal for Her Father [Video] which discusses a possible plea deal. then respond to the following:

Provide your position on plea bargaining. Should this particular case be part of a plea deal?

Should cases involving murder be resolved without a trial?

What type of cases do you think should be pleaded down to a lower offense?

Be sure to respond to at least one of your classmates’ posts.
