Anti-bias Community Resource Tool

Module 06 Content

Scenario

As an early childhood educator, your role is to create a warm and culturally responsive environment that respects diversity and supports children’s connection to their families and community. Although your primary function is to educate young children, there will be opportunities to advocate and be a resource for families. Being prepared for these opportunities will be vital to your success in building partnerships between families, early childhood settings, schools, and community organizations and agencies.

Creating an Anti-bias Community Resource Tool not only speaks to our commitment to diversity, inclusion, and social justice but demonstrates awareness of resources available to support families and their children’s development, providing a reference for the educator’s practice.
