Our Supersized Kids – Adherence

Adherence is the extent to which a person’s behavior coincides with appropriate medical and health advice. But how does adherence relate to children who are influenced by their parents, adults, peers, society, media, and other sources?

In reflecting on the video, what factors impact adherence for children? Please discuss at least 4 factors you learned in the video. You can supplement what you share with our readings. Please be sure to be detailed and use examples to support your statements.

A reminder: You may compare ideas, assess the value of theories, verify evidence, and make choices based on reasoned arguments. While this assignment does not have a page requirement, please be sure to fully and completely elaborate on your thoughts and draw connections to the topics we are studying in detail. Cite your sources using APA format. APA style asks that your paper have 1 inch margins in addition to being double spaced and font should be Times New Roman 12.

You will also be asked to submit 3 short journal assignments which reflect upon issues related to health and wellness. The directions for the journals will also be detailed in the module in which they are due.
