The historical event, in this case, is the assassination of John F. Kennedy who was the 35th president of America. He was assassinated on the 22nd of November, 1963 while he was traveling to Texas. This event is significant because this was the fourth time a United States president had been assassinated while still in office. Before this event, presidential assassinations had always been thought to be acts of conspiracy. However, this event proved that this assassination was an act of an individual. The event is also significant because the events leading to this assassination as well as its aftermath shaped the lives of the people of America a great deal.

These two articles are similar in that they discuss the events leading to the assassination of John F. Kennedy. They also look at how this assassination impacted the lives o Americans. This article is relevant because it contains the information I need to answer my research questions.

Audience and message

This research is meant for an academic audience because they would be interested in expanding their knowledge on the death of John F. Kennedy. My message to the audience will be the events that led to the assassination of John. F. Kennedy and how this shaped the lives of Americans.

Principles

The principles that I would like my audience to have to include neutral negativity. I would also like them to be familiar with reality. These principles will enable the audience to be open-minded in understanding the concepts that I will be presenting to them. They will help them understand my work better and reduce criticism.

Hypothesis

H01: The assassination of John F. Kennedy shaped the lives of the people of America.

HA1: The assassination of John F. Kennedy did not shape the lives of the people of America.

Conclusion

From the sources that I have identified and which I am going to use in this research, it is evident that the assassination of John F. Kennedy shaped the lives of the people of America. There are also a lot of details on the events leading to the assassination which will help me answer the questions in my research.
