The completed written project paper is due this week. Your Course Project should be primarily based on academic research but you can also use credible Internet sources such as the AHIMA, HIMMS, or HealthIT ones, as well as informational interviews with those involved in HIE. Be sure that your final paper addresses the following objectives.

Explain the concept of health information exchange (HIE).
Explain the structure and types of HIE.
Explain the role of clinical terminologies and data standards in HIE.
Explain challenges related to HIE.
Evaluate benefits of HIE for various stakeholders.
Evaluate the significance of data quality characteristics in HIE.
Describe your interest in HIE as a consumer or any state-specific HIE findings (optional).
The paper should be well-written, well-organized, approximately five to six typed pages in length, double-spaced, and using 12-point font (APA format). The page count does not include your cover page or References page. You must include a References page, as well as in-text citations where necessary. References and in-text citations must be in the APA format.
